Recent Experience

Our attorneys benefit from significant hands-on experience both prior and during their tenure at the firm. Relevant projects and transactions include, but are not limited to:

• During the first semester of the 2008, the Firm advised China Development Bank in the credit of USD $500 million granted by Banco Nacional de Costa Rica.
• Oller Abogados has great experience advising Petro-Companies, advised China Petroleum in the accomplishing the first time collaboration agreement with the Costa Rican Petroleum Refiner (Recope).
• Oller Abogados assisted Experian, a global leader in providing information, analytical tools and marketing services to organizations and consumers to help manage the risk and reward of commercial and financial decisions, in the installation and beginning of operations in Costa Rica.
• We advised Western Union in the creation and operation of their back office in Costa Rica. The work included the assistance in many fields, from the transfer of their offices to a new building to the application of the Free Zone regime.
• Advised the region leading company in the agro-industrial sector (Citric) in various transactions for the purchase of more than sixteen thousand hectares of land for its production in Costa Rica. The transactions were for more than ten million dollars for the purchase of these lands.
• We advised the major rum productor in Central America (Industrias Licorera de Guatemala) in the termination and reestablishing of their commercial relations in Costa Rica for the distribution their products (Rum Zacapa, Rum Botran, among others). We also continued to assist the company in their intellectual property matters and Health Permits.
